SUBMISSIONS
We are currently NOT OPEN for submissions.
We will be open to general submissions for Issue Two starting June 15.
If you need to reach us in the interim, you may email us at editor [@] waltzjournal.com to get in touch.
- You may submit up to 4 poems—within a maximum of 10 pages—in a single attached document via email to: editor [@] waltzjournal.com
- Please name your file and subject of your email:
[First name] [Last name] – Waltz. - Word Document files are preferred, though PDF files are also accepted.
- Please use a readable serif-font, such as Times New Roman or similar.
- Each new poem should start on its own page.
- Simultaneous submissions are allowed. If you need to withdraw a poem, please get in touch by replying to your original submission email.
- Please do not submit more than once per submission period.
- We do not accept previously published work.
- A short biography is not necessary with your submission, but it will have no bearing on how we review your work if you choose to include one. A nice cover letter has never hurt anyone, though brief is best.
- And please, absolutely no AI-generated work.
Waltz acquires first serial publishing rights, including electronic rights and the right to promote on social media. All ownership reverts back to the author upon publication in Waltz. Please do credit us with first publication if published or reprinted elsewhere.
As we are a new journal, we cannot offer payment with publication at this time.
